Default DPF Regen Problem

I've got a 7.5 6.7L and the DPF went missing a few months ago. Have had no problems with my H&S delete until recent. Truck is trying to regen and I can't figure out why. James with RSD is sending me some new SIMS but I ohmed out my current SIMS and they are all the same. The EDGE clears all codes on startup so there is no CEL but as soon as I drive about a 1/4 mile, she starts smoking like hell and the Edge is alerting that a regen is taking place. Then I get a "DPF Ristriction-Ash Accumulation" code.

Anybody have any ideas? I'm afraid to drive the truck and not havins wheels is killing me.

While driving my truck last week with my edge tuner set to 4x5 i 1/4 to 1/2 throttle romped on it and the check engine light came on. Disconnected batterys and light stayed off for about 400 miles then came back on last night. Had buddy scan it with a genisis system and it 1st showed a P1693 and would not reset then ran atest and a P0122 also came up. Please help. Just put in new alternator and thermostat 14 days ago.

So my head gasket started leaking, not much, just a little seep and some oil in the water. Got into the engine and found that it had a burned valve and the number four cylinder is burned and the cylinder walls are scored.
It's a 1997 with 220,000 miles on it, would it be wise to fix this engine or would I be better off finding another engine somewhere? I've considered junking the truck.

I just swapped out an 05' 48re for an 06' 48re. It's pretty new it only has 12k on it, but i'm experiencing some different shift points. Do I need to get it flashed?
