they aren't great, but mine is still holding up. my mods are in my sig. and i have 24k miles on my truck. i dont drive really hard but so far nothing has broken. the input shaft aint real beefy, but i havent noticed the tc slipping or unlocking yet.

seems like you can buy and auto a lot cheaper used and the manuals are priced higher way. when they come new manuals are cheaper.

so you are telling me i can't go wrong with both they are both good on the 6.7l. what about the 5.9l 48re or manual. if i buy 6.7 i'll delete dpf and egr and put a chip in for the fuel mileage and cai. this truck will have to last me long time.

I have plenty of mods on my 6.7 and the auto is holding up. However, I don't do boosted launches or go WOT all the time - I just treat it nice.

That's a huge improvement over the 48RE's - that would slip with stock power.

I didn't get a manual for a couple reasons. First, I don't want to shift all the time. Second, they are considerably slower than an equally modded auto. However, they are cheaper to upgrade and handle more power with an upgraded cluth - than we can we basic upgrades to our autos.

But, if you compare a built auto to a built manual, the auto will win hands down everytime.
