Default Any info on the Hydra Boost System on these new things

Heres the reason for needing it...

long story short my cousin just bought an 08 about 3 months, well he started having problems with his power steering he's had it to the shop 4 times and really they didnt find nothing wrong with it, well on the 30th he was going around a corner and lost the steering again and also lost his brakes and went down over an embankment and whacked a tree, well he has finally had enough and is going to go to court with chrysler, and he just wants some info on the system and how it works and the whole shabang

so any info would be greatly appreciated

All I can say is the power steering pump is what makes it all work.

Yeah i got that too, but the last time this happened (when he wrecked) it actually blew the cap of the power steering resevoir so what would cause all this pressure in a seemingly(i would think) low pressure system

faulty pressure relief valve maybe. Instead of the vacuum power assis, hydraboost is assisted by the power steering pump. if the steering goes so do the brakes just like he found out. I know we have replaced several power steering pumps in the diesel trucks.

THE HYDRO BOOSTER WORKS OF THE POWER STEERING PUMP. THE PUMP SENDS FLUID TO THE BOOSTER ALONG WITH THE GEAR BOX OR RACK. IF THE PUMP GOES OUT IT WILL CAUSE THE WHOLE SYSTEM TO FAIL. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE GEARS IN THE PUMP WENT OUT, NOT PUMPING THE FLUID TO THE BOOSTER OR THE PUMP. I DONT KNOW WHY THE DEALERSHIP DIDNT RUN A PRUSSER TEST ON THE PUMP TO SEE IF ITS WORKING PROPERLY. ANYTIME WE REPLACE A PUMP CRYSLER WANTS US TO PERFORM THIS TEST.
