Mick, the guy with the twincharged dmax has a friend that has the supercharged optimizer in a land rover or something. I can't find the site anymore though.

maybe once us 6.5ers find a way to flow more fuel without breaking the bank or our engine i might try this setup with the supercharger. ATTs have a slight lag so how about custom headers and Twin ATTs that flow into a custom pipe that flows into a supercharger of some kind. (weilland 6-71 or 144) then i have to figure out how to keep the block together

i think if somehow we can get some direct injection heads instead of idi; that'll solve most if not all our problems and we should be able to make power numbers like the other diesels.
oh and a big decent intercooler not a wimpy little one. (yes i know they dont have one stock)

no IDI is not the problem its keeping this motor together at high boost and power and we cannot flow as much FUEL. Thats are problem that diesels like a cummins 12V do not need to think about. we need more fuel just like the common rail diesels add another CP3 injection pump when they want to get over that 500 hp barrier.

as far as an intercooler unless you tow heavy loads and i mean heavy like 20K plus you do not need an intercooler. you need to get a A Team Turbo that flows more cold air at lower boost levels and is a lot more efficent at higher RPMs then our GM X series turbos that are by the way inefficent past 2200 RPMs

also look at way the head is secured to the block, middle 2 cyls only have 1 bolt holding down the heads, they'll only take so much stress, no the IDI engine will only go so far, that bar for now has been set by Mr. Bill Heath, twin turboed 6.5, approx 500hp at flywheel, making 153mph at Bonneville last fall, with a mostly stock 6.5, or off the shelf performance parts he sells.
