Default Has any experienced excess fuel intake?

Got a 05' quad cab, short bed and the fuel gauge seems to reading wrong. For example, i can be on a 3/4 of atank and drive to work. Roughly a 30 min drive and park. When i leave work, it seems to move 1/16 of a tank. My milage says in getting 18.3 mpg which i dont believe and dont trust it. Im kinda thinking its the spending unit in the tank. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I know everyone says keep your foot out of it and i am.

My mileage calculator says I am getting 27.0 MPG, which makes me

More like 18-19. Don't know what's wrong with it, either, since the tire size is not too different than my stock bicycles.
