Default Still will not start

My truck will not start. It was taking a while for the lift pump to shut off, and was about 200-300 psi low when idling... i replaced the lift um.... but still will not start. It will start with a little bit of brake cleaner or WD40... After it starts and runs.... it doesn't sound normal... I drove it about 1/2 a mile, and it will not accelerate like it use to... very very slow, even when kicked into overdrive. When in neutral, and the accelerator is pushed down, it goes to 3000-3500 rpm and hold there for 5-10 seconds before it comes down, and even then it does not go back to idle. The code for the high pressure regulator is coming on, but could this cause all those problems? Could the SMARTY cause all of this? tanks for the help...

what rail pressure setting do you have the smarty set on?....4?....if so that can cause the CEL to come on....sounds to me like the FCA might be stuck...would cause all of the above simptoms...if it is stuck in the middle of its range it will be feeding the engine too much fuel at low rpms causing the fuel clatter sounds then at higher rpms it will not be feeding enough fuel to the rail and will cause the low power/low rail pressure...would also cause the CEL for a high rail pressure issue at low rpm

replaced it, truck STILL will not start on it own, still needs a little wd40 once its started, it does sound better, accelerates better, but still is not what it ought to be. when in park and given gas, it still holds an erratic idle and doesnt come down for 5-10 seconds. drove it down the road, theres a small pinging noise that you can only hear when your driving. i also accelrated then let go of the pedal, and it held that speed for 2-5 seconds... i need help still!

Yea, but almost a different one everytime. recieved a paper from the dealer though, they are now covering the ECM on 2004-2005 Trucks because they had problems with it, so that might be it
