^^^ My thoughts exactly. There can't be any slop at the lever. Glad you got it fixed.

Did the TCC solenoid fix the performance code?

Next time I'm ever tearing apart a transmission, I'll remember that. *chuckle* In hindsight, such a simple solution. Although, in fairness - I tightened the lever, still had issues, adjusted the cable, problem went away. May VERY well have been because I mal-adjusted the cable while the arm was loose, .

So far so good? I think the problem is fixed - I'm pretty sure it's not one of those things that takes 100 miles to set. If I'm not mistaken, one instance of the torque converter not kicking in properly would set the code?

Truck's been on the highway three times since. No problems, she handles like a champ.

I have a 2005 3500 CTD dually 4x4 with less then 100K. I am having that same problem and have had since I had the valve body replaced the first time over a year ago. The truck was hard to get out of park (basically had to force it out) so I look it into the dealership and they replaced the valve body and that took care of that problem then this one surfaced. Since then I have had my truck in and out of the shop and to this day I am still having the same problem after having the valve body replaced for the second time today and still having that issue. I am one very unhappy owner as I need to get this taken care of as I use it for hauling. Also need to add that my truck is throwing no codes.
