Default Keyless Fob

So last night I got bored so I cracked open the owners manual to my new 2001 and started reading. Come to find out that the truck has the factory alarm and key less entry because my truck has the rolling lock where the doors lock at 15 mph.. So when I bought the truck it came with 9 keys (company fleet truck) but no key fobs. Where should I go to get a fob? It be nice to be able to lock and unlock my car instead of screwing around with all my keys. Thanks

The dealership should be able to set you up.

So I found this while searching around https://www.dieselbombers.com/dodge-...m-key-fob.html. When he says data link he is referring to the OBD II port right?

Since you don't have a working FOB you will have to take it to the dealer. I bought a FOB off ebay then had the dealer program it to my truck.

Never tried that method that Ben posted.

I'd definetly call a few dealerships and see what they would charge... just like part pricing, I'm sure they are all different.

Well I tried the ODB II trick and no luck so I called the only local Dodge dealer in the area. They wanted $100 bucks to reprogram that sucker FAT CHANCE I told the guy on the phone. Drove over to pop a lock and they did it for $15 and let me use there computer to change the auto lock horn chirp abs codes and high idle!
