2001 HIGH ++ Fuel Pressure DDRP-02 Why??

2001 HIGH ++ Fuel Pressure DDRP-02 Why??
2001 2500 4X4
FASS DDRP-02 Pump & Relocate kit to the back by tank, pre-inline fuel filter, Westach electric gauge
PROBLEM=anything but total WOT gauge needle slams all the way to right of face (max reading 30psi)
WOT, foot to floor, 22 psi on boost gauge will dip down to 10psi, but let off throttle a hair and slams to max 30+psi
pump 6mo old, filters all new, removed pump check valve to inspect= spring and ball look fine
starting to suspect gauge or gauge isolator- ordering mechanical gauge to test- afraid its going to damage my VP44. ANYONE SEEN THIS OR KNOW HOW TO TEST GAUGE ELECTRONICS? THANK YOU
