To set up the swap correctly you will need to be sure you have the specs to set it up by and the gauges. if you don't set the gears matched up the way they are worn in you will have a noisy rear end.

We swapped the axles between 2 3500 4X4 took the 4.10s out of the Diesel and 3.55s out of the V10. Both were 5spds and used for towing. It improved both trucks. After that I would never put 4.11s in a cummins. I have never had trouble getting started with a load even on a hill and we have grossed out over 22K.
