A guy just posted a thread who did this. I did mine about a year ago. I buy the gallons of the rustolem from wally world for $45 a gallon and then the applicator kit is $11 vs the herculine kits that ar $90 and have a half gallon can in the kit. Grab some sand paper and scotch brite pads and a thing of acetone or paint thinner. At least take the clear coat of and all of the rust with sand paper (power tools help alot). Clean up the surface with acetone really well scuff up surface again with scotch brite pad then clean with acetone again. Tape off what you dont want lining on. Apply first coat with brush and by the time you get around the truck it will be tacky enough to start your second coat. Use roller for second coat and third coat if you have enough coating. Thats the way i did mine but there is more than one way to skin a cat.

Have you ever done it with a roller? I am assuming not. I did mine with a roller and it tuned out pretty damn good. With a gun you are going to have to cover the whole damn truck or there will be over spray on everything.

I just did mine yesterday, I rolled it on and i honestly have to say it looks flawless.
If you take the time to do it right you can make it look great, I have a few pics from when i finished, but i will take some more tomorrow when its sunny and show how nice it actually looks.

Call your local rhino liner dealer and ask them how much. Id say prob 300-400 to do it. I think when they do a bed its usually around 500-600. The nice thing it they offer a lifetime warranty. You can get a diy kit for around 80-100.00. I personally have rhino liner in my bed and its tough stuff! My step bro did herculiner in his truck and it doesnt hold up that well. That could just be from not prepping it right. My buddy just did the duplicolor bed armor on his rockers so we will see how it holds up.

i picked up for my truck the rustoleom rattle can ones and they work amazing i put 3 coats on and just had cardboard in hand and some trash bags i used for both sides i live in iadho and went home to wisconsin in the fall and ran into a snow storm and when i washed it in a auto wash some came up but one side i didnt scuff so that should tell ya there the reason why. i also picked up the dupli color one and liked that one better imo wasnt alot of over spray with dupli color unlike rustoleom. my buddy also did his with the roller and it works awesome think we did 3 coats as well only thing i didnt like about his was it was shiney in the sun and mine is a flat finish which is what i like i have my racing stripe done with the rustoleom and the grill as well havent had to respray either of them and i have the outline around the lights where the old bug deflectors were
