Sad Lose of power at crusing speed

2001 3500 dodge cummins daily driver When i reach cruising speed 55 60 65 70 does not matter i lose power for 2or 3 sec. powers up and down. This goes on for 20 or so miles or until i get in traffic. Anyone have this problem ? Someone please HELP

Is your truck auto or manual? Does it take off if you floor it? Check this site out VP44 Diagnostic It sounds like the apps. I had an apps issue on mine. My truck would act like the trans was slipping while cruising. The rpms would jump and fall 300-400rpm. The apps helps tell the torque converter when to lock. The apps wire runs by the alternator and the alt was causing interference in the signal causing the tc to go in and out of lockup. I got a BD apps noise isolator and it cleared it up.
