I think I found the problem. I'll know once I replace the transfercase that just exploded on me when I was trying to exceed 60 mph
You guys thinks it was the transfercase causing all these problems or just a new one?
Does anyone have a replacement they would like to sell?
this was the 241dld

Ouch,
Could have been the case trying to lock up but strange it was only over 60 MPH.
By the sealant that has been worked on before.
Need to open it and see what caused that mess.
Cheers Steve

to me it looks like the t-case has been riding on the frame or cross member, if you look in the first pic you can tell is rubbed away alot of metal and that is most likely why the case split, with the torque of the motor forcing it like that i could see it happening again, check motor mounts and trans mounts.

Are you referring to the grey vertical marks on the case?
To me that is sealant not rub marks, someone used a lot when re-assembling it at some stage.

no in the pick of the underside of the t-case there is a bolt that mates the 2 pieces of the case underneath that bolt there is a piece of metal, skid plate, cross member or frame rail, cant really tell what it is but you can see a notch in it from the case rubbing on it.
