Default Injector decision

I'm sure there is another thread on this but I'm going to make an injector purchase soon and cannot decide which brand. BD 60's or DDP stage 2. I plan on an hx35 swap in the future.

why limit yourself to only those. there are many other companies out there that offer the same quality for in most cases much less money. and i would do a 5x12 injector

They are advertised as 40 or 50 HP. 5 holers are a good all around choice. If your looking for something more suited to low end pulling power and less concerned about top end street racing, check into 6 or 7 hole injectors. I have a set of 7X.010" in my work truck. The low end is much better than the 5X.012" it had before.

I want low end, speed does nothing for me. I want a truck that I can use around the farm to pull cattle and equipment. However I am going to college soon and it will be on the interstate some. What setup would you recommend?

If you can spare the down time and want to save some money, have your stock injectors reworked. Have them rebuilt and the holes opened up to .011. Stay on the mild side of injection pump tuning and invest in the M&H dynamic timing device instead of bumping timing. I would also recommend a 60mm compressor upgrade for your turbo. I would leave the exhaust side alone. Smaller housings may spool faster, but the trade off is higher EGTs and that is something you don't want in a towing rig.

i like this comment other than the turbine portion of it. the smaller housing are for quicker spooling. this dramatically aids in towing and reduces smoke. the addition of a wastegate eliminates the reason to have a massive A/R non gated turbine housing. after the 60mm compressor upgrade you are $300 deep into an inferior charger when compared to a good takeoff hx35 or he351 for the same money. i would definatly discard your current charger for a newer style shock charger or much more desirable frame s362 with a 65mm turbine. i really liked my 62/65/14 for DDing and towing. it was an AWESOME charger for a peppy work truck.

i dont think they are in business anymore? at least that was a rumor i heard around town some time back. that said i ran SDX 5x12's in my 95 for prolly 3 years with nothing but good to say. i pop tested them before i sold them and they were all within 5 bar of each other.
