Default Electrical problems

a few months ago I went to turn on my truck and was met with a puff of smoke coming from under the hood after that the wait to start light and the water in fuel light turned on and only went away when I turned the A/C off but it would immediately come back on if you tried to roll down the window or turn the A/C on. Anyone know what happened here and how do I fix this? The radio works fine if that helps

I had something similar
The wiring harness on driver side fender has fusable links
My truck would not start, no lights
Repaired the fusable link and truck starts but the brake light and anti lock light stays on now
Do I have to find the other problem in the wiring harness

I'd also check the fuse block and make sure fuses with the proper ratings are installed. People sometimes run gauges and other accessories on stupid slices, then, when the fuses pop, they just cram bigger ones in the block. This can cause serious problems as the wires overload and start to melt insulation. Then the gremlins start pouring out.
