Default Tranny Temp??

ok got my pillar gauges put in and installed and im not sure if my tranny temp gauge is giving my an accurate reading...what should my average temp be??? thanks

It really depends on ambient temperature, what kind of driving you are doing, where the sending unit is mounted, ect.

I have my sending unit mounted in the pan and most highway driving with an ambient temp between 30 and 60 degrees, the gauge won't move much past 125. Once I start loading it and pulling hills and whatnot it will get a little closer to 180.
