Default Trans Rebuild...

i am rebuilding my tranny because my overdrive stopped work and its time.. so i was gonna go with the Goerend Torque Converter.. and have some other questions
which rebuild kit that is fairly cheap will for for maybe 500hp?
and whats a good valve body that can lock up TC in all gears ? HTS? or BD?

goerend makes great torque converters. suncoast makes a rebuild kit. HTS valve bodies are good dont know if they lock up all gears. if you are going with a vb a shift kit would be something to look at transgo makes shift kits.
goerend tc 1295+ 300 core
sun coast rebuild kit 542
hts vb 390+ 250 core
transgo shift kit 135
all this adds up to about 3grand with the core charges. a new goerend tranny with warranty for 3550. has everything minus the shift kit. i have had a year to look into building up my tranny and i am going with the full goerend tranny and shift kit. 500 hp is also my goal/

So a new Goerend tranny's VB isnt any better than stock? and 3550 is not including a billet input shaft or upgraded flex plate? Just wondering cause I will eventually have to through this crap too sometime soon...and I only want to have to do it once!
