Default Speedometer not working right and very high RPM

Ever since i converted my truck to the straight gear. The speeometer is running low, for example, i can be running 60mph and it feels like 70 or75mph and its over 2K RPM's. When i switched it over i used the the trans. and the transfer case off of a dually which was gear 4.10. And my truck is gear 3.54 or 3.55 Would i have to get the speedometer recalrabed? (spelling) When i started driving it, i reseted my milage. Now i roughly have 270miles and its already drank 3/4 of tank? Because im kinda confused with it. Is it how the trans. is geared or the transfer case? Any help or suggestions are greatly appricated!! Thanks

I found apart of the problem, the back drum was sticking alittle, Is there any difference between the 241 HD and the 241 HD with PTO except one has a pto on it?
