Default 12 valve problems

I got a 94 cummins I did a auto to manual swap and couldn't figure out how to by pass the neutral safety from the auto so it wouldn't start with the key. I was told to jump the two pins on the three prong plug together and it would work. So I did and it works starts with the key! But it's like it's in limp mode.. Obviously this truck don't have limp mode but running shitty no throttle response only rev to 2k rpm sputters... Should I have grounded the two pins seperately or what did I do wrong???

none of that should affect the engine. considering its a 12v, there isn't one electrical connection or sensor that affects the engine. its obviously your fuel system, start on the low pressure side looking for it sucking air. bad fuel lines, loose fittings, dirty fuel filter. etc. then move to the injection pump. check your afc sensing line. make sure you have proper fuel pressure.
