Question Injectors

Found a set of 40hp injectors and these injectors have a 12mm top and 7MM tips. If you have a 9mm tip you will need to purchase sleeve adapters.Does that mean they dont come with the tips or how can i tell what size tips i have?

9mm injectors where used in the non-intercooled 1st gens. After that they where all 7mm. 1st and 2nd gen injectors have different fuel line thread pitches. They also have different pop pressures. There are also differences in spray pattern angles. Make sure you get the right ones.

The years are 91-98 for these injectors? But I thought the pre-intercooled was 91.5?

Intercooler was added mid-year 91. A few other things were changed (emissions driven) at the same time:
- bigger turbo
- new, smaller tipped (7mm), 6-hole injectors (instead of 4 larger holes)
- injector spray angle and piston bowl size/shape

As already stated, you can't thread an injector meant for a VE pump onto a p-pump injector line. simple as that.

Best to find out what the injectors came out of than taking somebody's word for what they fit.
