Default boost gague????

ok im looking at puting at pyrometer and a boost gague in my truck. ive been trying to figure out how to hook the boost gague up onto a duramax. is there anyone that can help me out because im lost..

The air inlet casting to tap is located on the top of the motor under the black plastic emblem cover. Remove the cover and the blue intercooler boot that connects the casting to the passenger side intercooler pipe.

some people drill and tap the ic tubes, but they seem a little thin to me

by any chance do you have them in your truck? if so how did you hook them up?

I drilled and tapped the big cast piece in the IC system.. I believe the LLY has the same piece. I'll see if I can find you a picture.

Here ya go bud.. you can see I drilled and tapped, be sure if you do the same thing, to remove the boot from the bottom of this piece, and stuff a rag in it, to that the shavings dont get stuck in the IC system.. then wash it out through the hole with some WD-40.
