Looking for DOT sleeper
 

Anyone have a DOT approved sleeper they are wanting to sell. I hotshot and got this gut feeling it's just a matter of time before DOT questions my off duty time.

I have a shorty off a big rig that will fit pretty nicely on a 1 ton if you stretch the frame.
It's @ 3-1/2 feet deep by 4-1/2 feet tall, by 7 ft wide.
These are rough dimensions, but I can get exact ones, if you need them.
Of course, I also have a NICE 5 foot deep one, if you want a PALACE. :D

FYI off duty time CAN be anytime you are not in the cab of the vehicle, or loading or maintaining the vehicle, although, TECHNICALLY, meal breaks in the middle of your on duty SHOULD be logged as "On Duty (Not Driving)" as you intend to continue the trip.

It's up to the DOT to prove in court HOW you spend your "off duty" time and to prove that you are doing so in a manner that is not allowing proper rest and recuperation.

You can sit your off duty period in a truckstop and fall asleep in a chair in the TV room, as long as you log it off duty, it's hard to prove otherwise.

Who's to say you didn't bunk in another (lady) trucker's double sleeper in that time?
Or meet a strange lady and stay the night at her place?

The burden of proof is on the DOT to prove their claims.

I have $300 in the sleeper and I am located near Lincoln, Nebraska.
