thinking of selling 09 tdi, wat ya think?
 

hey all im thinkin of sellin my 09. its a great lil car for me but im more into trucks and such and i would like to have a car i can mod legally. it has 2200 miles and bought last oct.

sell it then and get the cummins. TDI's are not good cars to bomb unless you got a lot of money. even if you do its not going to return you with high horespower numbers or fast drag racing times. you can spend ten grand and only get 14 second quarter mile times. it doesnt help these cars are front wheel drive because the toque makes the first gear in these things useless too. i could spend 2000 dollars on my tdi for turbo and programmer and only pick up 75-100 horsepower

good someones with me on this! thanks! i mean i love the car and the MPG it gets but i need a 4wd diesel and why not get a cummins lol?
yea ive seen the prices they make ya have seizures! i wanteed the thunderbunny body kit for it but when i found out it was $1400 UNPAINTED FOR JUST THE FRONT i was like heck no
with rear and side skirts itd be round $3400+ paint job

I have a 06 Jetta TDI the milage is great and it is ok to drive but after 60+ inches of snow so far and another winter storm warning for the next 2 days. You can't drive the thing :madd: Anyways I changed the oil on my pickup and the car at the same time this fall the car got just about 3000 miles and my truck 14,000. I want to trade the jetta when the 2010 Ram HD comes out.
The 06 Ram will be kept :choochoo:

anyone thing the DSG is a getrag? i was thinkin since they sell a few models tht are 6 speed autos with duel clutches/duel shift design
getrag makes some darn good 6 speeds tho!

So what are the details on your TDI? How much do you want for it?
I have a 2001 TDI New Beetle Automatic. Has 150,00 miles on it I am going to give it to my daughter when she gets her license so I will be looking for a new one.
Love my 2007 DuraMax but only dirve it 1 or 2 a week.
