How to build traction bars
 

I hooked to the sled for the first time this year and it was a blast, i am planning on pulling next year and i am going to build some trac bars. how should i do it? another things is suspension stops my truck squatted badly

my traction bars are built from tractor center links (third arms) . they are cut in the middle and pipe added to make them long enough. my stops are made from a big prob 1 1/4 all tread bolt. let me know if i can help. thanks tony:tu:

How can i build a complete set, like brackets to hook up to it and the pipe and about how long should i make them? or just a estimate of how long would help? thanks

thanks dave. my traction bars are shorter than some i have saw at the tracks. i saw some long ones bend.

The general rule of thumb for traction bar length is to have the bars be parellel to the drive shaft.
