Goodyear Duratrac Tires??
I was wondering if any of you out there has run this tire or is the bfg all-terrain better, im trying to decide which set to buy:humm:
Anything BFG is overrated. I'll take half worn DuraTrac's over new BFG's any day.
ok thanks RAWilliams have you run them both on the track and on the street?
I can't say that I have, but I have friends that have. Seems once the BFG's go less them 50%, they loose tremendous amounts of traction. They also don't wear as well as others. I've been running Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors for a while now, 3 sets, and love the all round performance. Only down side is they don't wear off quick enough to upgrade to the DuraTracs as soon as i like. I've been doing more and more camping in the bush, and my buddy that runs the DuraTracs has no problem going anywhere.

BFG's are a nightmare during rain when they start to harden out- even slight wet roads will give you serious trouble in the second season.
I will never use them again. The Duratracs are a "bit" pricey in europe so they are rarely seen here. |
Thanks guys for all the help im definatly not going with bf's now! I was also looking at baja atz's any experience with these?
I work for an oilfield company that turns over close to 200 pickups a year in western canada alone.... Everything that see's field work gets duratracs, period. They are that good, I have over 45,xxxkm on mine and they're still better then 50% and thats under abusive use on a loaded down 3/4ton hotshot.
For pulling I love my BFG's if you set them up right there a pretty good all around tire. This is my second season with them and there holding up just fine
never had any problems with bfg's, I have ran them on several vehicles with no regrets.
i have never had any issues with bfg tires either
