what kinda tyranny's are you guys running for pulling? mods?

Well, the 96 F250 has a 5 speed with a dual disc clutch.

My 06 Dodge is a fully built 48RE. I haven't done very many hooks with mine. You will be ok with either, just the auto is more expensive to build up to handle it. Nice thing is its no harder to drive after its built. The 96 is a bear to drive, the clutch is VERY heavy.

The ZF holds up prety good?

The reason i ask is i want to put something real strong in my f350 want to stay away from a auto I am pretty much open to any standard trans that wont cost me a super huge fortune also i am building a motor for my f250 that has a zf5 in it

interesting thread, i am in the market for a tranny right now and i want to compete in sled pulling also, but just work stock class until i get done with school then maybe ill step up.:ww:
