3x3x.250 Angle with some 1" threaded rod for adjustment. Have taken ALOT of abuse. including driving an hour home forgetting to take them out an beating the hell out of them all the way.

Simple yet very effective. Im gonna make a set for my truck thats adjustable as well.
|
nice, how much do u let ur truck squat?
|
airbags is the awnser to that:U:
|
i dont think they let yu run airbags in sled pulling
|
Plus if one blows, talk about funky suspension geometry :humm:
|
but why:cry: what if its an every day towing truck and sled puller:rocking:

nothing wrong with having a truck that hauls everyday and plays on the weekends, but the rules require the bags to be disconnected, you must pull the line off of them and prove the bags are empty.
the reason being is guys can get through tech with the bags low...after the hitch is measured they like to fill them to max capacity and it puts the hitch above the limit. its just to keep people from cheating. |
nobody else has pix of stops?
|
VERY NICE AND EASY SET UP... GOOD JOB

I need to get pics of my new stops up...so simple to make yet so effective. you can remove them in under a minute with one wrench.
its a 1x3x.25" angle that gets bolted up where the stock bump stops were. on that is a piece of 3/4" box tubing welded vertically to the long side of the angle pointing down. I put a structural grade bolt through the angle and this 3/4 tube and then welded it in place. Now take some 1" box tube and you notch out one side and drill a hole in the center so it just fits over the other tube and then use the bolt/nut to hold it on tight. its worked great for me for 2 season, and its super light weight and for those who get serious, every pound you can take off the rear and put up front counts. I will get pics soon to clarify how they are done. ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Attachment 52244 Attachment 52245 |
I like them!

nice but if the stops hit the block wouldnt that kinda torque on the ubolts? dunno if id do that but im sure the chances of that piece of the block breaking r slim

the only thing i dont like is the non adjustable. if you run one class thats ok but we pull with 1" limit and a 3" limit so would have to have several sets. Like your ride and looking foward to ride north to see it pull blown 5.9
|
i have 2 sets, it literally takes a minute to swap them out with a ratcheting wrench. i have a set for 1" travel and another set for blocking it solid

I like it when the trucks get that arch in the frame that puts that big gap between the bed and cab at the top. Awesome setups guys

How much does that sled weigh?
|
heres mine. and YES the short trac bars work. no hop, no axle wrap or minimal, and it doesnt push the front of the truck up like long bars.

These were just made up to go on a Duramax with a 6" lift. These bolt on where the factory bumpstops bolt in and then hit the top of the spring.
