And A Chevy Rolls Over And Plays Dead......
WTF? How's that happen?
I think it looked like he was gettin to the end of the track and tried to turn ? sleds not gonna follow you that hard a turn, so it kept on barrelin through and twisted the truck around..... how I see it anyway.........
looked like the truck was a little to much for that sled should of added more weight to it
now thats funny. it's not a trailer it's a sled:argh:
The sled didnt have no breaks , there was people at the end of the track looks like he sacrificed the truck
i see several problems.....1 the sled is not geared right......2 the sled didnt have enough weight......and 3 the sled has no operator......
it had an operator. look at the video right as it passes the pole and the truck turns. you can see him sitting in the seat behind the plexi glass....
EDIT : 18 seconds into the video you can see the operator. |

Looks like the weight box was not even engaged. And yeah the sled operator should have been ALL over the brakes... That was not the pullers fault. He did a good job keeping the sled and him out of the end teh track and potentialy people.
dont they have killswitches that the operator can pull?

What about the flag man not being on the ball and not red flagging the rig when he SHOULD had saw the weight box not moving?
They had a bad sled malfunction at the last pull I was at, when the operator was backing it up to the line, the brakes gave out and the tranny locked into reverse and the ol Cummins runnin the said I'm not slowing down. :ph: He rammed it right into a tree where there were many were hangin around. Luckily they were all paying attention and got the hell outa the way. Scarey stuff.... :ouch: |
A tractor puller in europe died a while back because the wheight was not engaged. Hit the end the track and came to a quick stop. The weight free slid up the sled broke off the stops and crushed teh tractor with him in it.
