Air Tanks

Im looking for any ideas for places to put air tanks under my truck. Its going to be used for train horns(bad drivers) and air lift bags for towing. I am looking for a size and place to put it. I have an 07 dodge ram 2500 quad cab short bed.

you could kill the spare off. It all depends on how big the tanks are. You might figure out a way on how to mount them under the bed. Or maybe just get a toolbox and put one in there.

check out where all the companies are putting the propane tanks and put the air tank there....

Most guys I have seen either hide them in a toolbox or mount them along the frame rails wherever they have room

For starters, I have a PacBrake, I mounted their 1/2 gal tank on the framerail under the drivers side front seat. When I installed that tank I added a 'T' for a secondary tank. From the 1/2 gal tank I put a check valve in-line to the secondary tank which is mounted next to the first tank on the frame rail. I use the secondary tank for accessories - dual in-cab air bag control, air horn, rear aux air supply connection.

You can purchase air tanks in all kinds of sizes, with an on-board air compressor you really do not need an enormous tank to have good usable air storage. If you check out some of the semi-truck junk yards you can get a good deal on a larger tank, but locating it under the truck is a whole other ball game.

Mine is under the hood where my 2nd battery used to be and my compressor is right next to it.
