1ST 500 miles towing 50 mph less?

Truck Manual says that the first 500 miles of towing you should drive 50 mph or less. How many have stuck to this and who has not? Any problems.
I will be picking up my gooseneck in Ball Ground, Ga. it will be loaded at 14,000.

Thanks for any help.

It's because the engine tolerances are still tight, especially the top end. Break it in right and it'll last a long time.

I have read on other sites the rear end mainly "the gearing needed to be broken in" to the tow load that is being placed on it. I do not know if this is true or not but I did follow the O and M manual and did not tow above 50 MPH. I also very the spped of the truck on the highway but more important I made sure that I did not leaving the engine RPM in the same speed range. I keep my eye on this and made sure the RPM did not stay at one reading very long. I also did not tow in 6 Gear (auto) Keep the RPM's in the 1800 to 2000 range. With the tow haul mode on and the EB on.
