Duramax 2" Lift

im looking to put bigger tires & wheels on my 01 duramax, i know to put bigger tires i will need some sort of lift. as of right now ill prolly just do 2" blocks in the rear then either crank up my stock torsion bars or buy new bigger torsion keys. i just dont want my truck to ride like complete d***. i was just wondering about personal opinions and what is the easiest way to get the job done.

Also would it be better to buy the shock extensions or just buy new ones? their older shocks and im sure they could be replaced.

thanks.

What size tires do you plan on running?

For the BEST RIDE... once you crank the "torsion bars" you should purchase Cognito Upper Control Arms, Shock Extensions/Longer Shocks, Cognito Pitman & Idler Support Kit.
When you crank your torsion bars your suspension travel "Droop / Down Travel" is almost gone. Installing the UCA & Shocks/Shock Extensions help gain back what you've lost. There have been many people out there making the Low Buck choice which ends up in costly repair down the road.

We have installed many of these on the 01-10 2500HDs with great success and satisfied customers. If you have any questions or would like us to help, let us know.

im going to buy 2" blocks and a set of bigger torsion keys. ive heard of people running 315s with just this set up?

I know the best way to do it is to buy a full suspension lift but thats not in the price range at the moment. i know "good shit aint cheap and cheap shit aint good." I just cant afford that. so im curious to see what i can run with just the 2" lift and torsion keys.

315's will wear your front end with a leveling kit, it has been done but expect to pay for the wear items and handling to be the reflecting issue's. How about not going to such a large tire and get a happy middle. If you plan it right you can purchase as you go and end up where and what you want to be on. Let me know if you need help planning it out, we now off FREE Suspension Consulting if you would like to go over options personaly over the phone.
