interco ss-m16

Well yall reviews for this tire are hard to find so I figure ill ask yall to see if any of yall have used them. Also I've got a set on order now so ill be posting a review for them once they are on the truck (some time later this week)

Info on the truck and wheels

03 f-250 w/ 6 inch super lift
Wheels are 18x9 procomps
ill get pics and try to get a vid or 2 up to show the noise level ad different speeds.

Shoot cerberusctd a PM. He's running them on his CTD in 37". :c:

riddick01 10-26-2010 04:48 PM

well they came in alot faster than i expected. got them in and on today.

first impressions

tread shape is good. aggressive but not a bogger. it looks like a bogger with shorter tread and a little different shape in the blocks
not a fan of the bullets on the side wall but ya...

noise isnt to bad. ive run nitto trail and terra grapps and its inbetween the two of them. no noise up to about 40 same level of noise from 40 to about 70 and its easily drowned out by the wind at 60+. havent pushed them over 80 yet but it gets a little louder from 70 to 80

mine do rub a little on the leaf spring but i knew they would before i got them

ill post the pics in a few once i get them loaded

yea yea yea chad...
i do wish i had caught you sooner, but i don't think you will be too disappointed with them.

I kicked a set of procomp extreme all terrains to the curb to run 37/13.5r18 M16s, and now have maybe 8k miles on them. they are wearing pretty well, and evenly. treads clocks are rounding a bit, but that's to be expected.

Once they get a little broken in, the noise in the cab will be more evident, but is nowhere NEAR what i expected out of them, for the tread design they are relatively quiet. (though i have a dyno video of my truck that says otherwise)

I have noticed quite a bit of sidewall flex... enough that when you wag the steering wheel on the highway, the back end of the truck feels loose... you can definitely tell these are interco carcasses... after a week or two however, you will get used to the uneasy feeling and i hardly notice it anymore.

overall, i have enjoyed the tires. GREAT traction on logging roads, impressive in the rain despite no siping, and i get a lot of comments on how angry they look.

hope you enjoy them man, heres a pic of mine mounted up

ya my trail graps had a little side wall flex to but these dance prety good. so im used to some side wall flex so im not overly worried about it.

cerberusctd 10-26-2010 07:29 PM

cool. as long as you're used to it or at least ready for it... Caught me a little off guard on the highway headed home from the shop :scare2:

riddick01 10-26-2010 09:21 PM

it didnt really catch me off guard what got me was i was pulling a jeep behind me (no one could drop me since and my truck had been there since friday night) and the wind. between the wind blowing me and the jeep around and the jeep having a mind of its own i was having some issues but nothing to bad
