Straight axle swap

I'm wanting to do a SAS on my 1984 Fummins. Question: Is the factory crossmember for the TTB front end in the way of the straight axle, or do I need to go with a large lift kit? I mounted my Cummins on the crossmember, and I don't want to remove it if I don't have to.

on mine if u use the f350 springs, it clears. but the truck will be aprox 4 inches taller just by doing the swap. u will need to install 4 inch blocks or 4 inch lift springs in the rear to match the front height.

i know from ttb 4x4 to sfa 4x4 lifts 4 inches taller.
2wd ttb to sfa 4x4 lifts around 9 inches

With the swap, did you use the original springs that came with the TTB, or does it use a different spring with a solid axle?

i used the f350 springs. if u use the f250 springs, i do belive the pumkin will hit the xmember.
