Squeek, squeek, squeek!

Ok, here's the problem... I have a 3/4 ton lifted Sierra 2500HD... I'm getting an annoying squeek from my front suspension... It's only when the truck is in forward motion that I hear the noise... I don't think it's the water pump, due to sustained water temp and it only squeeks in forward rolling motion... Water pump would squeek all the time or at any time the engine is running...

My second thought was the belt tensioner bearings, but also again, it only makes the noise during a rolling motion, reguardless of RPM's...

I just recently changed my front brakes out and some brake fluid overflowed from the reservoir... I'm wondering if this didn't drip onto something that rotates... My only question with that is why does it not makes noises in reverse, only forward rotation...

Being that my brakes are new, it's not the brake ware tabs rubbing...

I'm at a loss here... Anybody have any clues or places to check... It appears to be both sides, whichs makes me wonder if it was something to do with the brake job i did... Any help is awesome... As always, thanks!

have you checked your wheel bearings for any play

ball joints? mine would squeek only when going forard or reverse. not when i turned the wheel sitting still.

i bet it's a u-joint! does it start off slow and increase as you go faster then stop at about 15-20 mph? if so U-joint chevys are known for have skeeky u-joints

It squeeks in the same tone, regardless of speed... But it only squeeks when moving forward (1mph to 70 mph)... ITs' the craziest thing... I've shook the truck back and forth, wiggled the shocks around, pulled on the tires... I don't know what is squeeking... not that this 8" lift helps anything... :scare2:

I do have new ball joints sitting in my living room ready to be put on, maybe i'll go ahead and do this and see what happens... I also have center link, pitman arm, idler arm, inner/outer tie rods to replace also... maybe i'll make a day of it... :argh:

Check and see if any of belts is dry rotted. My cummins made that same nosie you talkin about, and i change my front belt and it went away.

put it up on jack stands and see if it still makes the noise when in gear. i dont think id try 70mph out up there though, lol! Ya i hate the 4.5" lift on my truck I like the looks but that's about it! the upper and lower control arm bushing on mine are SHOT!

Check your joints. It wont be the wheel bearing cause thats more of a clanking sound than squeek. Cause i blew out my cv and wheel bearing on a chevy tahoe.
