toyo tires for diesel

Im ready to put new tires on my dually. (92) I tow a 40ft gooseneck, about 16k loaded up. I have ran the schwab toyo's H/Ts and have had a problem with them not keeping a balance. the cummins is tweaked to 225 rwhp, schwab has a new toyo the h/t "tuff duty". toyos site says it specific for diesel pickups. anybody run them ? I want a very good tire, I dont mind paying for it IF it performs. and yeah I drive heavy footed. thanks for the input.

i know of one person that has them on his chevy dually that tows a trailer everyday and loves em, sad thing about tires is everyone has different luck with any given tire

I know a guy also who has them on his dually. He hauls heavy commercial air conditioning units from state to state. He puts them to the test.

Im down to michelins or the toyos. I have the standard toyo on now. they have been a pain to keep balanced. the truck is tweaked alittle to 225rwhp. no big thing. but schwab whines its all my fault. :moon: maybe.

I have em and pull cattle and horse trailers all over texas. Only problem that I have is that they wear quick.

thanks for the input. I have found that when schwab sets the tires at max pressure, 80psi empty, they will wearout very quick in the middle. Im thinking that when I set low at 55lbs (when Im empty):humm:the torque must twist the case to much tearing it up causing to fall out of balance. :humm:

So you need a tire with a hard rubber compound to prevent wear. Like the BFG's but they are awful during rain due to the hard rubber.
I don't know about availability in your tire size.

michelins are hard as well. or at least they last along time from what Im reading. schwab has a m54 tire, its for heavy commercial use. my size is standard. 235/85/16 = 31.7" tall. it drops the engine 100rpm from the stock 215/85/16=30.4" Im wanting the best because when I tow its driven aggressive. just me. leave late/ get there early.:s: I use extra tie downs.
