DO NOT USE FRONT BLOCKS...

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PEOPLE, IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KILL EVERY KITTEN AND PUPPY WITHIN A 1000 YARDS OF WHERE YOU DRIVE, DO NOT INSTALL FRONT LIFT BLOCKS ON LEAF SPRING TRUCKS...

IF YOU EVEN THINK THAT IT IS OK, YOU ARE WRONG...

IF YOU THINK NOTHING BAD WILL HAPPEN, YOU ARE WRONG...

IF YOU THINK IT LOOKS COOL, YOU ARE WRONG...

IF YOU ARE TOO CHEAP TO BUY SPRINGS, YOU ARE WRONG...

IF YOU THINK IT IS LEGAL, YOU ARE WRONG...

MR. LAWMAN DOES NOT LIKE FRONT LIFT BLOCKS...NEITHER DOES MR. DOT OFFICER...BOTH WILL IMPOUND YOUR TRUCK, MAKE YOU TAKE IT TO A STATE CERTIFIED GARAGE AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THEM REMOVED, AND IF ALL THE REST OF US DRIVERS ARE LUCKY ENOUGH, THIS WILL HAPPEN TO YOU, CAUSE YOU ARE PUTTING ALL OF US, INCLUDING YOURSELF, AND ANYONE THAT RIDES WITH YOU IN DANGER...

SO FOR THE SAKE OF THE KITTENS, PUPPIES, AND CHILDREN...

DON'T RUN FRONT LIFT BLOCKS!!!

COULD A MOD PLEASE STICKY THIS FOR ME HERE IN THE SUSPENSION SECTION...

What part of ILLEGAL are people not getting in this statement above...

I put it in caps so all the people that think its such a great idea on here to use them will pay attention...I've seen people on here talk about it and some people agree and just think its a great idea to use them...Why let bad advice be told to people that dont know better...Then they come back on here all pissed off cause someone gave them bad advice and they destroyed their truck or killed someone...I guess I am just tired of all the mouth breathers on the internet thinking its a great idea to jury rig their street trucks...Been spending too much time on Pirate 4x4 I guess...

Logan may be correct but it even makes me cringe when I see blocks in a coil over set up.

I say, spend the money and lift it or level it correctly.

Uncle Bubba 12-24-2009 11:53 AM

Not tryin to tell ya your wrong Logan, I been preachin about not usin even the coil spring pucks for a long time now but for the sake of making this an informative post you need to explain you reasoning's here so that everyone reading it will understand.

Not speaking from experience on the LS setup but it could be that:
A. this sort of set up lacks lateral support.
B. if they aren't connected properly they could come out on full relaxation of the spring weighted system.
C. they may place undo stress on the pin connection of the LS to the frame of the truck.
D. it could very likely, make the ride very tough.

Speaking from experience on the coil over:
A. those blocks limit the OEM shock and OEM travel / rebound.
B. they brake down over time (if plastic).
C. they place greater stress on the OEM coil making them settle faster than normal.
D. they look goofy.

Like I said, spend the money and get a D25 replacement spring and new shock.
