Lug Nut Tabs
I been noticin here lately the big trucks and buses have some orange tabs on ever lug nut. I'm hopin this is a safety measure to lock them in place and keep em from backing out. If this is the case where do I get some for my truck.
I've had it happen twice in the last few years that my aluminum rims back the nuts off and fall off while I'm goin down the road. Every time I pull my wheels it takes forever to get these things seated back in. |
Just shows if a lug comes loose. All the points go in one direction, if one is out of place, the lug loosened up.

Well that's better then I have right now, anybody know if these are available for our trucks.
I even thought about puttin some lock washers between the wheel and the hub but I don't know that it would help anything either. |

you worry to much, you only run into problems when you stop after your wheel falls off. just keep on the hammer and you will be fine:tttt:

I had just had new tires installed earlier that day in prep for this trip. Truck didn't roll very well on three wheels. Now on the other hand I did have an Isuzu Trooper some years back that the half axle broke lose and came off the truck wheel and all. The truck stayed on three wheels rollin down the highway as the tire chased me. It was really rollin along side the drivers side door bouncin off of it as we drove down the highway for a ways. |
