lift kit parts

hey yall,

im thinking about lifting my truck in the near future but im getting confused about different kits.

im 18 and want to lift my truck as cheaply as possible without impeading on the structural integrity.

i know that springs a block and u-bolt kit and new shocks are essential. possibly a dropped pitman arm, and track bar. would i also absolutely have to have sway bar links, new control arms, and a drag link, or are those parts that i can use already under the truck.

im thinking about going 8" of lift.

thank yall, and any help is appreciated

8" is quite a bit! . . . . (LOL, like I should talk! I'm considering 10" on my old truck!)

Let us know everything about your truck! If that is it in your avitar, I'm guessing it is an '05 or so....
Also what kind of kits are you considering? There is a big difference in quality and what not between them. Nice thing about this site is there are enough of us here that have tried different ones that we should be able to 'steer' you in the right direction!

(Welcome to the site too!!)

(We will be glad to help you spend your money too!) :5:

yah, 05 bone stock.

im actually thinking about buying the parts seperately.

top gun customz 8" coil springs

pro comp shocks,

tuff country 5.5" blocks

am i wrong into thinking this is the only parts needed when lifting a truck? or are there other parts that i need such as new control arms?
