Toyo M-55

Anybody got any thoughts on Toyo M-55 tires. Supposed to be real long lasting. I need some new boots for my wife's F250. I've been using BFG's with good results, but looking for even longer wear.

LOVED EM. These things worked as well in the snow and mud as they did on the highway. I make a habit of pullin trailers through muddy field roads and these things did as well as most All Terrain tires I've ever ran. Also took a trip through the mountains between Wyoming and Salt Lake City pushin through snow banks that were sendin snow over the hood and pullin an 8000 pound trailer and they never broke lose. I'd probably be dead right now if they had.

They've changed. I've been runnning them on my work trucks for 14 years, and prpobably won't get another set.
Reason for this is that they have what they are calling a "rock ring" around the center of the tire, which might be important if you constantly drive on larger gravel. But in my case, I drive over 90% on the road, with occasional rough terrain construction sites.
This rock ring effectivey decreases your tread dept in the center of the tire by about a third. Think of running your tires with way oo much air pressure. That's what mine look like. The center third of the tread is BALD.

With 17,000 miles. :argh:

Truck is a 2008 Chevy 2500 gasser that weighs about 9,000 pounds.

They wear great but get a bit noisy around 50%.

Great tire otherwise.
