Getting pissed at my tires

I have 35x12.50 coopers on my 17" eagle alloy rims and when I turn the wheel all the way to the right the front left tire rubs the control arm or stabilizer arm, one of those but not sure. Anyways Im curious as to how I can stop this. Im not sure but does it have something to do with the back spacing or offset on the rims? My other question is, Im going to keep my coopers when I get new rims so what rims should I be looking for? I want the Mickey Thompson Side Biters in 17x9 but they have no backspacing so Im not sure if I should get them if thats whats causing my current problem. Basically, do I need a negative or positive offset and what does the offset do? Thanks!

if it rubs on the inside it has too much backspacing.

You need a negatve offset to puch the wheel out further

So the 0mm offset on the Mickey Thompson Rims would be ok or thats not a good idea? How do I get rid of backspacing or is it because the tires are too big?

How wide are your rims?
if they are 8" wide you have 4" backspace and that is 2" less than stock, and you should not be rubbing
if they are 10" then you will have 5" B/S and still should be good. on the inside.
I have 10" wide wheels with -22 offset(4.56" B/S) and don't have rub issues on the inside but have serious rub on the outside.

you have to be careful there is a very fine line with the backspacing to keep it from rubbing.
too little and it rubs on the control arms/swaybar and too much and you rub on the outside.

Im not sure actually I think they have a positive offset. I think that's what the website says. I will get online and look today. Thanks for the info!

Ok so the rims have a -8mm offset and are 9" wide. The bad part is that if I push the tires out any further they will stick out even farther. I already have problems with throwing rocks up and nicking the paint on the fender and rear quarter panels on the side of the body. I don't really want to push them out farther to avoid more damage especially after I paint it. What do you guys think?

your wheels have negative offset with about 4.25" b/s. (even less than mine!)
if you are rubbing you should be able to see marks somewhere from the rubbing, where are the marks?
how did the lift work the swaybar?
did it drop the frame mounts and use the stock endlinks or does it have extended endlinks with the bar in the factory frame location?

I will heave to look and see where it rubs. Oh boy your using a lot of words I dont know the definition of lol. Hmmm would it help if I could just get some pictures up and show you what it looks like? I know its a ProComp 5" coil over but I dont know if that helps or not. I will do the pictures tomorrow morning and post them to give you an idea. Thanks for the help!

seems to me like you need some fender flares

I got the truck aligned and it doesnt rub anymore so im happy about that. Thats what I was thinking. I like the bush whackers but I dont like the bolt pattern. I will have to look into them some more.
