Are we talkin the commercial HUMVEE tires or the military versions that have flooded the market here recently.

DieselCrawler 09-09-2009 09:11 AM

tire sizes for the military are either 36x12.5r16.5 or 37x12.5r16.5

i have the 36 inch ones, they are bias ply, but do grab some soil. i bought them off ebay for 100 bucks for all 4

yep, rims are 16.5. The bolt pattern fits newer duramax's. There are some chevy's here that have hummv rims/tire on them. Not sure what the exact bolt pattern is though. Hopefully home chevy guy will probably pipe in now.

8x6.5 bolt pattern, like almost every 8 lug truck ever built, except some very old dodges and the 99+ Superdutys........

You can get 4 different styles of HMMWV tires, BF Goodrich Baja Project T/A M/T's, Wrangler MT/R's, Wrangler "Double V's", Wrangler M/T's, and Super Swamper TSL's......the first 3 come in 37x12.50x16.5, the Wrangler M/T's come in 36x12.50, and the Super Swampers come in 36x12.50x16.5 I believe.....

You have a choice of 3 different wheels also, the 8 bolt, 12 bolt, and 24 bolt wheels........

The rims will need to be modified to fit over your hubs as they are GM rims. The hub is smaller than a Ford hub and you will have to "bore" the rim out in order for it to slide over the Ford hubs. The bolt pattern is the same. The tires are great tires. They are high quality rubber and have great traction on mud, snow, sand. They are very large and heavy. Going to need a lift to get good clearence with those 37's. I run these tires on my gasser and will also run them on my project IDI. New these tires cost approx. $650 each. I pay $20 a tire used.
