anyone done this?

looking to just lift the front up of my SD, i was thinking about putting small blocks under the front leafs, about 2", anyone made a homemade leveling kit for theres:c:

blocks under front leafs are a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE no no. There are SOME designs that are kinda decent (0 rate springs) but generally noooooooooooooooooo

wilke12V 07-19-2009 12:55 PM

any ideas? i just wanna put 35's on and my 33's rub as it is now

front blocks are illegal in most if not all states and extremly unsafe ive done 2" add a leafs to get the little extra clearance but a 4"-6" would be better and look nice

have you done enough trimming? Leveling springs shouldn't be too expensive and 35s can be done with leveling and trimming

Yeah front lift blocks are VERY bad. they side loads caused on steer axle can cause them to kick out on put your ass upside down in a ditch.

i havent done any triming, it looks like is hitting the leafs as it is, i plan on leveling and pulling the wheels out with spacers, i think if i pull them out now it will rub even more, i dont want to go to high, i have a buddy that put a 6" lift and it looks sweet, but my wife complains about getting into now, i had to take off my running boards because of the wreck i got in

Superstroker10 07-19-2009 01:46 PM

get an add leaf kit for the front. thats what i plan on doing

off set wheels will take care of the rubbing of the leaf springs but might cause rubbing on the bumper and fender
