ball joints for a ford F-250 4x4

What is the easiest way to change ball joints on a 2006 F-250 4X4 ? (both upper and lower)
And what brands seem to hold up the best ? Any hints or suggestions would be appreciated . Thanks:humm:

Get a ball joint joint install/remover tool and go to town! should not be too hard.

Moog or Ford......either will work......get an electric or air impact and a balljoint set like Bobby suggested......trust me on this, use an impact, its 10X's easier......

Nobody has mentioned you need to take the wheel bearing and axle assembly out of each side to get the spindle off.

You should replace the outer hub seals on the axle, and the O-rings on the hub bearing to make sure the ESOF still works.

A lot of times, you have to beat those hub seals up pretty bad to get the axles out, but I ususally only see 'em while they're still under warranty, so I change 'em regardless.

Thanks ! The front suspension doesn't have the same warranty as the engine by any chance does it ? I.E. 100,000 mi.? Today I got my first experience with the famed death wobble while pulling a trailer . That was a real treat . I figure it's about time to start changing suspension parts at almost 90,000 mi . Thanks again .:c:

There easy enough. And the hub seals on the outer axle stub dont get beat up if your careful. Either use a rubber mallet and hit the ear of the joint and they will slide out or use 2 pry bar opposing each other on the ears of the joint and it will pop out just as easy. Spray lube always makes things come out much easier too.
