lift kit

hi this is my first post and im alittle new to this area but here goes. i got a GMC C1500 Suburban, 2wd, 6.5L v8 diesel 8 lug and ive been lookin to lift it for a while. been browsin around and always seem to find the 4.5" or 4" spindle kit at varying prices and thats it. i came across a 7.5" lift
Fabtech - 7.5" Performance Crossmember System for '88-'98 Chevy/GMC 2wd C1500 #K1006 - Fat Boy Customs
not sure if it fits the diesel though. emailed the owner and he hasnt responded, does anyone know it it will fit or am i destined to get the 4.5"?
also will the 4.5" kit make a noticable difference? again im very new to this and any response is apprectiated
-thanks, chris

Heres the link for a little better description right from Fabtech, but it doesnt specify if it is for diesels.

As for the 4.5" lift making a noticeable difference it sure will especially with some upgraded rubber on her. Before I made a decision on what lift, wheels, and tires I was going to go with I looked around at picks on the internet and a few in person(I know it will be harder finding a lifted suburban in person though) but a good website for pics of everything is www.cardomain.com check it out and make sure you look at a bunch of different pics so you arent disappointed when its all done

thanks for the feedback, saw some pretty nice ones on cardomain. the guy i bought it from lowered it 2 inches. i didnt like it lower so i got the stock coil springs and shackles and put it back to stock with a 1.5" spacer on the springs. got 33" bfg goodrich all terrain tires and 16x8" helo max chrome rims and they fit snuggly under there but the tires rub so i was lookin to lift it more. also the spindle kit says it can only be used with aftermarket wheels with a maximum backspacing of 3.75" but my rims have 4.5". i dont know what this means exactly but im guessing it wont fit with the rims.

Usually it will have a min backspacing so the bigger tires wont rub on the frame. i just put a little extra bump stop for my 37's and kept the stock rims they just barely rub the frame if cranked right over

your truck isnt a 1500 if its 8 lug, it is a 2500, and should have a full floating 14 bolt rear axle if its a diesel......

Here is what you need from Fabtech......this lists all the lift kits for the 2WD 92-06 trucks.....scroll down to the 7.5 inch ultimate kit.....and if you scroll to the bottom you will see a lifted crew cab 2500 thats blue......

your best bet would be to call fabtech and talk to them......
