Mudders
What do you guys think is the best mud tires in 35x14-16? I want a fairly aggressive tires that wears good on the road.

best mud tire would be a bogger but they don't wear at all, best wearing mud tire would have to be a bfg mud terrain or a pitbull hear they wear pretty good and are aggressive
|
No such thing as a Mudder that wears well... If you want a good comprimise more for street, I'd look at the Cooper ST, if you want something more for the mud, I'd say Toyo M/T (if you have the bucks), if you want a cheaper tire, look at the Cooper STT. I have X-Terrains, and they're doing pretty good on the street with 10K miles on them... The fronts ain't wearing real well, but not bad either. The backs still look new.

Mastercraft Courser CT's??
|
I would say BFG muds they wear pretty good on the road and work well offroad you will never find a great mud tire that wears well on road and if you do let me know.
|
I have Boggers on my truck now and want to get something that is better i have looked at BFG M/ T they look pretty good. What about Maxxis Buckshot MUdderrs?
|
I swear by the ProComp Xtreme All Terrains that I put on my truck this past year, they are awesome in mud, I've gone down trails this past hunting season that quads were even parking at, I havent gotten stuck yet and they've been really good in the snow too.
They are also quiet on the highway and I've put 12 000mi on them and dont have much at all for wear yet. I honestly dont think I will ever buy another type of tire. |
I had supper swamper m-16 ties on my truck for 60,000 miles. They are not that loud and wear good for a mud tire. They need to be rotated every 5,000 miles for longer lasting. I would still have them but traded wheels to some 22,s vs 20,s. I ran them in a 37/13.50/20. They are pretty cheap for a full blown mud tire and look nice if you can take the bullets on the side wall.

I am auctuly looking at SS M-16 of Pro Comp xtreme AT. I have a buddy with some AT and they have wore horribly.
|
I don't think Swamper's SSRs do to bad on wear IIRC. Micky's MTZ are another good less aggressive MT. The new BFG KM2s MT don't wear as well as the old MTs.

take a look at the dayton timberline M/T's i had some 265/75/R16 on my 01 dually and got good mileage out of them. i got about 40,000 out of them. just keep them rotated and air in them. i probably could have gotten more but i was hualing a John Deere 650 bulldozer all over the place. so obviously with the weight they wear a little quicker. and they are fairly inexpensive. i think i bought 6 tires for $159.00 each. it was right at $1000 for mounting balancing and the tires

Were can I find the timberlines?
|
Had a set of 33 x 12.50 Pro Comp Mud Terrains on my truck before these Extreme A/T's. Got nearly 40,000 miles out of them, but was really anal about rotating them every 3000 miles.
|
DynaPro RT03 MTs... they were super quiet.. and did great in the mud.. havent had a truck long enough to see how long they last.. I had about 30k on a set on my old 1/2ton chebby and still had about 40% left

AT -VS- MT
BF Goodrich All Terrain is my vote!
I got 50,000 miles out of mine, and they still had a good summer tread left on them. They are quiet, and they provide a great soft ride. Besides they are a great set of mud shoes. The Mud Terrains were only a small bit better in the mud, but not much! Besides all that, M/T are way too noisy on the road. |
Interco's M16, but you've got to have $$.
