that first picture is crazy ive never seen a tire do anything like that, the other ones are pretty common especially on class 8 retread tires, basically what happens is the bands (wires) on the side wall breaks and if enough of them break you get what you see in the pics where the air can escape out and into the hole made by the break of the bands, and it makes one hell of a BOOM when your airing up a 22.5 and a bunch of bands decide to give out and let 90 psi out really quick :D ....so if your airing up an old tire and start to hear what sounds like guitar strings breaking my advice would be to disconnect air and remove valve stem core fast :run:
