2011 Ram 3500 Dually tire ????

My truck has 4:10 gears and it is just to much for my daily highway driving. I need to increase the height and was wondering what others have used on the stock rims. I do not mind adding a spacer if I need to so the back will not touch each others...

Any Ideas? Oh and the truck is 4X4 as well.

I have a 2012 dually .. 17" x 6 rims factory aluminum .. when I bought it ,, it had 285 x 80 x 17 with 3" spacers on the rear.. No problems with it just didn t like the tires sticking out. went to 255x 80x 17 and no spacers ... tires are 33 inches ...

I don't think 35" tires would be too tall for your truck unless you pull very heavy trailer up very steep grades much of the time. I found a site on the net that has a chart and with 4.11 gears with 33" tires at 65mph with a 1:1 trans gearing the engine is turning 2720 rpm and with 35" tires the rpm slows to 2565 rpm. I think with this final ratio, with the 35" tires, your truck should still pull very well. I think my 2011 2500 cummins with 68rfe automatic and 265-70R17 tires is only turning 2000rpm at 70mph in 6th gear. If you don't pull much with your dually you could probably even run taller tires but if the truck were mine I probably wouldn't.
