Nitto Dune Grapplers?
 

I am looking for anyone's opinion on these. The tread pattern is pretty cool, but as I understand it, they are best left for off road use only, preferably in sand and light dirt.

I've heard they make a lot of noise on hwy's and are not good for stopping on dry or wet pavement.

Anyone?

DangerousDuramax has these tires on his truck.

I wanted them for my truck but when I bought my tires they were not out in 35x12.50x20's yet.:booo:

I don't know who that is. Does he like them? Does he drive on pavement with them?

to me they seem to have to soft a rubber to make them good street tires

ive heard that they are good street tires and are good for light off road use...

One of our customers has them on his truck and likes them, they seem to wear fast, but what tires don't behind a 550 hp dmax. They are good enough to cut 1.7 60' times and still have the load capacity for a HD truck. The one thing I don't like is that they have no siping at all, so they wouldn't be perfect tires for all seasons in my opinion.

Now we're getting somewhere!:U: I need all season grip, but I just can't imagine this beast getting low traction in winter and rain just from it's sheer weight -- no matter WHAT tires are on it. As you can tell I am really sold on those tires and if they're soft, like you say, I don't care as much how long they last. Maybe they're being soft will make them a little quieter?

I have Terra Grapplers on my truck and cut 1.7 60' times too and they seem to work in all seasons... I have 32K on mine right now and will probably make it to 45-50k before changing them and I am not easy on my truck either.

This is good information!:U: I would be happy to see 40-50K miles on any set of tires. It rains sometimes in NV. How are they then?:humm:
