Suspension Option Battle/Debate
Well guys i am about to begin a new truck build. I have built an 05 F150 and a 2000 7.3L from the ground up.....now I am beginning a project on a 2011 6.7 (hopefully theres a chance I go with a 6.4L but pushing for a 6.7 just getting my plans in line). A flatbed from Diesel Power Gear will be going on this truck too as well as 40" Tires.
I am debating between 3 different suspensions because of price and options. A) McGaughey's 8" $3100~ - 4-Link - Add-A-Leaf B) Pro Comp 8" Stage 2 $2280~ - MX-6R Shocks on all 4 corners - Not 4-Linked - Add-A-Leaf - Best Price by alot C) BDS 4 Link $3800~ - 4-Linked - Fox 2.0 Shocks - Dual Steering Stabalizer - Full Leaf Pack Replacement and no blocks Obviously the BDS is the best package, but I am not sure if I need/want to spend the extra $700-$1600. I will be wheeling this when I can. I ran a Rize Industries on the F150 and full leaf packs front and rear on the F350 no blocks and didnt mind the rough ride. I know the value of a good suspension but I would like some opinions. |
The shop I use has installed many Carli suspension systems. Universally, the owners have very pleased.
The parts are high quality, deliver the ride and fit perfectly. These have been 3" systems. |
Carli is nice but they are only 3 inch systems and I'm doing 8"
|
Most of the guys I know have the BDS and they no problem with it though this kit is really expensive.
