Going Down To A Leveling Kit

I currently have the Skyjacker 4.5" lift kit, and I would like to go down to a 2" leveling kit. The kit I have uses 4.5" springs, new track bar and relocation bracket, control arms, dropped pitman arm, shocks, and dual steering stabilizers. I would like to use someones 2" springs, an adjustable track bar, and possibly a bracket. Does anybody know if the Skyjacker bracket will accept a 3rd Gen style adjustable track bar from somewhere like Thuren, Solid Steel, or Lorenz? I like the idea of eliminating the ball joint, but I am not opposed to using one if I have to. Basically, I need your suggestions on a track bar, springs, and shocks for a 2" leveling kit. I use my truck as a daily driver, so I want something that will ride smooth on the street.

No ideas, huh?

Anybody have any ideas?

Id say go with 2" or 2.5" springs (stay away from Skyjackers they tend to sag after a short time), a DT Profab or Thuren Trackbar, DSS, and for shocks Id go with Bilstein 5100's.

I just ordered a Thuren 0-3" track bar. I am looking at the Kore leveling kit with Bilstein 5100 shocks. I want a softer ride, so I will be staying away from Skyjacker, for sure.

DT Profab has a bunch of stuff that might help you out:

DODGE TRUCK PARTS GEN 2

Their stuff looks good, but I want to keep it down to about 2". Does any one know anything about Custom Suspension's coils?

you can use your 4.5" shocks with the leveling kit. I had 5" shocks with a leveling kit before I put 6" springs on mine.

OK. KORE coils or Carrier Spring coils? Thanks for the tip sidekick, but I hate the way the shocks I have ride. 5100's on the way soon.

I went with the Carrier soft ride 2 inch springs myself along with the 5100 shocks and helper springs with a 3/4 inch block in the rear. If you go this route be sure to order some Poly coil spring isolators also. Energy suspension stock number 9.6112G, this is the Black ones, fits right over them and keeps the sqeeks down along with softening the ride that little more.

Is there anything else I need to look at while I am in there. I will get an alignment afterwards, or course, and I only want to tear into this front end once.
